WOW, I have been such a huge procrastinator at blogging! I have been so busy with school, church, and my social life that I have just not had the motivation to write about it. Last Friday I was able to attend the Viewing of the prophet. It was such an amazing experience to say the least. We arrived downtown at 6 p.m. and decided to park at the Gateway and take the trax up from there.(my friends mom had already been waiting in line since 5) Well we parked in the summer parking, the one farthest away from everything, and ran all the way to the conference center, very far away. We finally made it up there to find out that we would be waiting for a very long time!!! SO we waited a total of 5 + hours, 3 just to get in side and 2 once inside!!! It was insane, we were starving, frozen to the core, and weak. But you cant really complain in that situation, and let me tell you, you definitely loose perspective when you are watiting that long. SO the minute we finally got to go into the hall of the Prophets it was silent and there was such a peaceful reverence. We were quickly escorted past his open casket and he looked so good! The spirit was so strong in that room and it felt so good to see him one last time. It was something I will never forget and definitely do not regret doing! It was sooooo worth it:)
Well everything else has been going great and I am truly loving the time I am spending in school and with my friends! I just found out that I will be going to California for presidents day weekend, driving down with one of my roomates who is also from California. I am so excited, it is a much needed break and I look forward to spending time with family and friends.
