So today I was able to go volunteer with my Grandparents at This is The Place Monument/Heritage Park. It was Family Fun day and might I add FREE day! My grandpa is the National President of the Sons of Utah Pioneers so he was asked to find volunteers and I was asked to go help out. We got there around 9:45 and were put in charge of helping with the crafts. Well lets just say there were what felt like a million kids there and not enough help...it turned out to not be so bad and my Grandparents were the best compared to some other "older" volunteers and I was very impressed but definitely not surprised! We were done at about 2 and I was so grateful to be able to walk away from my table...I still don't even know what the things were called but I was the only volunteer who knew how to do that craft so it was so crazy!

My Grandparents hard at work...

On our way out :)

I am so glad I was able to go help out today! Service always makes you feel better and I got to do it with the best company ever. Thanks for the great day Grandma and Grandpa. Oh yeah, did I mention next Saturday is the children's parade and guess who gets to be in it?! me, McCall and McKinley...yep that's right!

Katie,
You are so cute and your blog is so much fun! I love This is the Place Park. How fun to spend a day like that with Grandma and Grandpa. I got your phone number from Grandpa, and I called it and left a message, but I don't know if it is really the right number. I couldn't tell by the greeting. I was calling about this weekend. I don't know if you were still planning on watching Carol, but Doug has decided to stay home from work with her now. I'm sorry for the late notice, but our plans have been so up in the air until this weekend. Call me and let me know that you read this. And feel free to delete this extremely long comment after you do if you want...
Andrea
